Urgent appeal for €40k Lotto winner to come forward with just days left to claim prize

One lucky punter in the midlands has just one week left to collect tens of thousands, after winning the prize in a national lottery draw.

The National Lottery is calling on Lotto 5-4-3-2-1 players with just seven days left, as a prize worth €40,000 is still to be collected.

Lottery officials are asking Lotto 5-4-3-2-1 players in the Mullingar area of Westmeath to look at their tickets to ensure they don't miss out on a sum earned on Saturday 1 April, Buzz.ie reports.

The winning ticket was bought on April 1, at Top Oil Service Station, Longford Road, Mullingar, Westmeath.

They got five out of the seven winning numbers in the Lotto Plus 1 draw that night to land the €40,000 prize.

A total of 90 days from the date of the draw is what the National Lottery give for claimants to come forward to collect.

Friday 30 is the dealine.

The winning numbers of the Lotto Plus 1 draw on Saturday 1 April were: 11, 24, 27, 34, 42, 44 and the bonus was 15.

A National Lottery spokesperson said: “There is just ONE week left for a Lotto 5-4-3-2-1 winner in Westmeath to claim their €40,000 prize from the 1st of April draw.

"If you are the winner, please be sure to sign the back of the ticket and immediately contact our prize claims team on 1800 666 222 or email mailto:claims@lottery.ie and we will make arrangements for you to collect your prize.”

Lotto 5-4-3-2-1 is based upon the results of Lotto, Lotto Plus 1 and Lotto Plus 2. You choose how many numbers you play, i.e. 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5. Lotto 5-4-3-2-1 can be played on any or all of our three Lotto games.

Each play is €1. You may select €1, €2, €3, €4 or €5 in any panel.

The top prize per €1 played for the six-number game is €125,000 and the top prize for the seven-number game is €40,000.
