If you were gutted to hear the news that Upfest would be taking a break this year then you're in luck. Organisers are returning to Weston-super-Mare this summer for the return of Weston Wallz, taking over the seaside town with colourful murals.
Visitors and residents can already check out incredible pieces from world class street artists including Insane51, Curtis Hylton, Sian Storey, TeaOne, Vee, Damien Jefferies, David Puck, Aspire, Caryn Koh, Emily Joy Rich, Sophie Long, Acerone, Bev G Star, Bex Glover, and Paul Monsters, who each made their mark with their signature styles.
In December, Upfest announced it would be unable to host its annual street art festival in south Bristol for 2023 due to "increasing costs related to the events industry", stating it "simply won't be able to raise the necessary funds to put on the event that we know you all love and deserve". Fortunately, the organisers will be going ahead with its Weston Wallz event from May 24 to June 4, 2023 in partnership with Weston-super-Mare Town Council, Culture Weston and supported by Arts Council England.
