2026 is about more than GTA 6, and these upcoming indie games for this year and beyond are my proof. I've been GamesRadar+'s indie expert for years now, and I'm here to help you build up your wishlists with some exciting new indie games releasing in the future. Plus, I promise none of them will set you back $80 (sorry, Rockstar).

We're now in September, and despite all the fantastic new games that launched already this summer, a wonderful world of indies still awaits. I've been keenly awaiting Witchbrook, the latest from original Stardew Valley publisher Chucklefish, while my other top pick for pre-Halloween cozy horror dating sim antics has sadly been postponed.
