Police have arrested a motorist driving with no insurance after he originally gave officers the slip.
South Wales Police Roads Policing Unit initially saw a red Skoda Fabia being driven at speed. Checks were taken and they revealed that the car hadn’t been insured.
Officers then attempted to stop the driver ‘for a chat’, but rather than stopping for the police the Skoda driver sped off. Police pursued the vehicle to Caerphilly, before they were then told to stand down due to safety grounds.

Officers then did a search of the area only to discover the car had crashed. The driver had done a runner, but he didn’t get far before he was caught and arrested by the police, and taken into custody.
