Ultraviolette has been very busy lately. The Indian electric motorcycle company recently raised another $85 million, brought Intel CEO Lip-Bu Tan on as an adviser, and confirmed that North America is part of its international expansion plans for 2027. That alone gives us plenty to watch. But now one of its upcoming motorcycles has undergone a pretty substantial engineering rethink, and the timing is getting pretty damn interesting.
The motorcycle in question is the Shockwave, Ultraviolette’s lightweight electric “funduro” first shown in 2025. It was originally supposed to start reaching customers in early 2026, but that isn’t happening anymore. Instead, Ultraviolette has pushed deliveries to the first quarter of 2027 and confirmed that the bike will switch to a new 100V electrical architecture shared with its upcoming Tesseract electric scooter.
