Russian politician and prominent Kremlin critic Boris Nadezhdin was forced to flee Russia when he found himself barred from running for election and facing imprisonment. Two weeks after arriving in Paris, he spoke to RFI about the circumstances of his exile.
Nadezhdin, who attempted to challenge Russian President Vladimir Putin in the 2024 presidential election, has been barred from running as an MP in September’s parliamentary elections.
