Two people were killed in separate Ukrainian drone attacks across Russia overnight, Russian officials said, as the strikes damaged an oil refinery, industrial sites and a passenger train.

Russia's defence ministry said its air defences destroyed 592 Ukrainian drones during the overnight barrage, reported news agency Reuters.
One person was killed and another injured in Belgorod after a Ukrainian drone struck a truck, according to local officials. In Perm, Governor Dmitry Makhonin said one person was killed during what he described as a large-scale drone attack. The region is home to a major oil refinery.
Oil refinery forced to halt operations
The Novoshakhtinsk oil refinery in Russia's southern Rostov region was also damaged in the attacks.
Governor Yuri Slyusar said around 50 drones were destroyed over the region and the strike forced the refinery to temporarily suspend operations. He said there were no reports of casualties there.
In Ulyanovsk, eight people were injured after another drone attack damaged industrial and civilian infrastructure, Governor Alexei Russkikh said. The region is home to a major electronics plant.
Passenger train hit in Samara
A passenger train travelling from Moscow to Tolyatti was also damaged in the overnight attacks.
Russia's state railway operator said an electric locomotive and the train's first carriage were damaged by what it described as external interference on a section of railway in the Samara region.
The train driver was injured and rail traffic on the affected section was temporarily suspended.
In the Voronezh region, Governor Alexander Gusev said air defences destroyed 88 drones over the regional capital and at least six surrounding districts.
Four people were injured there, while residential buildings, vehicles and industrial facilities were damaged, Gusev said.
