Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky commended Ukraine’s military for executing what he described as “precise, timely, and effective” strikes on Russian airfields. The operation, labeled as the country’s “biggest attack” on Russian airfields since the onset of the war, involved drones targeting four Russian airfields overnight, according to a source at the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).
Zelensky expressed satisfaction with the performance of Ukrainian drones, emphasizing their successful execution. However, he also acknowledged the limitations of drones, stating that certain operations cannot be carried out solely with this technology. He highlighted the necessity for additional weaponry, particularly missile weapons, to enhance Ukraine’s military capabilities.
“We need other weapons — missile weapons. And we continue to work with our partners on long-range solutions for Ukraine,” Zelensky stated.
