Storms are expected to stick around this week as the UK enters a period of 'unsettled' weather, forecasters say.
Flood alerts were in place across different parts of the country overnight as a volatile low pressure front from the Atlantic made landfall, bringing thunder and rain.
An area covering London, the southwest of England, the western coast of Wales and Northern Ireland was also under a Met Office yellow warning for thunderstorms until 4am.
