Brits are bracing for strong winds in the north with warnings of gales for Scotland before temperatures drop as a wide band of snow is set to fall on Sunday.
Cloudy and wet weather is predicted for much of the country on Thursday but it will be very windy in the north, according to the Met Office.
Wintry conditions continue with a freeze on Friday morning and then snow on Sunday is set to bring in a much colder week where weather charts show it could drop as low as -5C.
