Brits are set for more widespread sunshine today as the sizzling Easter bank holiday weekend weather continues today with the mercury likely to touch 22C.
After the Arctic blast that brought in April, most of the country has been able to bask in glorious, sunny conditions over the past couple of days and the weather is expected to hold over the weekend although temperatures are starting to dip.
The mercury hit 23.4C in St James's Park in central London on Good Friday afternoon, the Met Office said, making it hotter than California.
