Brits will be lashed by more heavy rain and thunderstorms amid warnings that other countries in Europe will see soaring temperatures in days.

Forecasters have warned that the UK is set to be a mix of sunshine and showers, with thunderstorms predicted in some regions.

Temperatures will be warm but nowhere near the highs that have been predicted this week for popular holiday destinations including Spain and Italy.
