Love Is Blind is a dating show which aims to determine whether love can truly be blind. The concept of the show sees 15 men and 15 women, who are all single, being put in one location but separated from each other.
When on dates within the complex, they are only able to speak in 'pods' and are can't see what each other look like. They can then choose to get 'engaged', after which they are released from the pods and see each other in person. They then go on holiday, meet each other's families and plan for a wedding.
After that, the couple attend a marriage ceremony, where they decide whether they want to spend the rest of their lives together. This is all takes place within 40 days.
The series premiered in February 2020 on Netflix and became a hit during the Covid lockdown that started a month later. The US version is hosted by married couple Nick Lachey and Vanessa Lachey. The hosts for the UK version have not been confirmed.
Auditions close on June 1, 2023. It is noted on the application that "due to the anticipated high volume of applicants the team cannot get back to every applicant". You can apply to be on the show here.
