UK Eurovision entrant unveils song hoping to win 2026 contest

  • Electronic musician Sam Battle, performing as Look Mum No Computer, is representing the UK at Eurovision with his song "Eins, Zwei, Drei".
  • The track, which means "one, two, three" in German, was released on Friday 6 March and features Britpop and Eighties synthwave influences.
  • Battle stated the song was inspired by his performances in Germany and aims to convey a feeling of togetherness, while lyrically it's about escaping the daily grind.
  • "Eins, Zwei, Drei" was co-written and produced by a team including Lasse Midtsian Nymann and Thomas Stengaard, who have worked on previous Eurovision winning entries.
  • The UK, as one of the "big five" nations, is guaranteed a place in the final of the 70th Eurovision Song Contest, which will take place in Vienna on 16 May amidst controversy over Israel's participation.
