Britain dashes hope of quick Donald Trump peace deal for Ukraine warning 'there's a long way to go yet'

Britain played down the prospect of a quick peace deal for Ukraine despite Volodymyr Zelensky seeking to mend ties with Donald Trump after their spectacular Oval Office clash.

Justice Secretary Shabana Mahmood stressed that the UK government was seeking to act as an “honest broker” between Trump’s America and Europe on trying to end Vladimir Putin’s three-year war in Ukraine.
