A UFO spotter believes he has made an 'important' discovery on the red planet in video footage released by NASA - and says it could be proof of alien life.
Scott Waring runs the blog UFO Sightings Daily where he shines light on all the weird and wonderful news he can find, and video clips from the red planet have been a treasure trove for him in the past.
Now Scott believes he has found something in an image from the Mars Perseverance rover's video feed - which he thinks is a "ten-meter" disk crashed into the surface of the planet.
Describing it as a "perfect circle", Scott suspects it could be an alien craft - but he fears that if Elon Musk gets to Mars first, he could claim it for himself.

Scott said: "I was looking at a Mars Perseverance rover photo when I realised that there was a metallic disk of about ten meters in diameter stuck into the top of the hill.
"It's a perfect circle and the other half is below the ground.
"Also nearby, there is a human-like sculpture carved into a large stone - the carving is about 2.5 meters long.
"Often NASA adds too much light to drown out all the important details. I added some shadow and deepening to reveal these important archaeological discoveries.
"Can you imagine how important it would be to any country on Earth to get hold of an alien disk? It's Elon Musk's dream come true, and since his people will be first to land on Mars, such technology will be claimed by him."
Scott made his last sighting on Mars on April 6, after spotting a pink and green 'plant' growing on the red planet.
He shared the news with his fans after making the 'mind-blowing' discovery while pouring over photos released by NASA.
The image was also captured by Mars Perseverance, which is currently on a mission to look for signs of past life on the planet and prepare the inhospitable environment for human exploration.
Scott said the image was "100 per cent proof" of alien life on Mars, and added that he made a similar sighting two years ago - but that time it was a white rose.
