Ubisoft Confirms 'Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Resynced'—Remake Game Coming Soon

After years of rumors and speculations, Ubisoft has finally confirmed that the remake of "Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag" is officially happening, and fans are losing their minds online.

It has been a long road for "Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag," especially as it is revered as one of the best games in the franchise, and its remake has been rumored for around three years now.

Ubisoft Confirms 'Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Resynced'

In the latest post by Ubisoft on its website, the company unveiled the plans it has for the entire "Assassin's Creed" franchise for the year 2026, but one of the most important pieces of news here is the official confirmation of the "Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag" remake.

The said game will no longer be called "Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag" as Ubisoft revealed that it is now titled "Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Resynced."

The company did not share any details about it, and Ubisoft also only lightly referenced the game in its long post about the franchise's roadmap for the year. That said, the company shared an image of Connor Kenway standing on the boom and holding the line, clearly depicting that it is the "Black Flag" game.

What to Expect From the 'AC Black Flag' Remake?

Ubisoft may not have talked directly about "Assassin's Creed: Black Flag Resynced" in its recent post, but the company referenced it briefly, claiming that the rumors are true about the game being remade.

As with most remakes, it is expected that Ubisoft will focus on delivering the main storyline of "Black Flag" as well as its side quests and more for the modern gaming platforms, upscaling to fit the latest quality and standards.

That said, the company may address further details about the game in the coming months.
