U2 is returning with its first studio album of new material in nine years, and the Irish rock band's new era has an unmistakable musical connection to the Spanish-speaking world.
There is the title, Carnaval de Luz. There are songs called "La Reina" and "Silencio." Spanish superstar Rosalía appears on another track. Mexico City has become a major setting for the band's new visuals. And now there are masked men in tactical gear seizing a person in the newly released video for "Silencio," imagery that evokes scenes of masked immigration agents conducting arrests in the United States.
