Tyson Fury's uncle accuses Anthony Joshua of trying to swerve Oleksandr Usyk

Tyson Fury 's uncle thinks Oleksandr Usyk will gain confidence for his rematch with Anthony Joshua after the Brit pondered stepping aside from the fight.

WBC champion Fury announced yesterday he would be fighting mandatory challenger Dillian Whyte next, suggesting Joshua rejected the chance to step aside from his rematch with Usyk.

Former cruiserweight king Usyk has been expected to rematch Joshua after beating the Brit last September to win the unified heavyweight titles.

Joshua was offered £15million - and Whyte offered £5m - to step aside and allow the undisputed clash, but Joshua is now set to pursue his original plan of becoming a three-time heavyweight champion.

And Peter Fury, the former coach and uncle of Tyson, thinks the Ukrainian will be "super confident" after the step aside fiasco.

"Usyk must be super confident and smiling at all this step aside talk, trying to dress it up," he wrote on Twitter.

"It’s no more than a swerve to not fight Usyk. Styles makes fights and the world will see one result from this a “No Mass!! My unbiased opinion."

Peter parted ways with Tyson in 2016, just one year after he defeated Wladimir Klitschko to win the unified heavyweight titles.

Fury called out his heavyweight rivals earlier this week by labelling Usyk a "p****" and Joshua a "coward".

After announcing he would fight Whyte next, Usyk's manager reacted to Fury's put-down message and blamed 'The Gypsy King' for the undisputed clash falling through.

"Yo man before next time you will mention Oleksandr Usyk," Usyk's manager Egis Klimas wrote to Fury on Twitter.

"Name check with your team, management, advisers, promoters who agreed with all terms and conditions looks like you are the one who is holding this wagon yelling and talking is cheap."

Joshua's rematch with Usyk is yet to be announced but will likely take place in April, with Wembley Stadium and the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium being possible venues.

Fury's fight with domestic rival Whyte - who has been waiting for his shot since winning the WBC silver title in 2017 - will likely take place in Manchester or Cardiff.

The pair have trained with each other in the past with Whyte claiming he once dropped his counterpart in a sparring session.

And Fury has vowed to annihilate his rival stating: "I can't wait to punch Dillian Whyte's face right in.

"I'm going to give him the best hiding he's ever had in his life. Train hard sucker because you're getting annihilated, bum."

Purse bids for Fury's fight with Whyte were postponed for the fourth time on Tuesday and will now take place this evening.
