Tyson Fury has called out Francis Ngannou for a fight at Wembley as early as this year, as he continues to hint at a return from retirement. UFC heavyweight champion Ngannou joined Fury in the ring after his win against Dillian Whyte in April fuelling speculation that the pair could enter the ring together in the near future.
Ngannou has not fought since January, after undergoing knee surgery in the wake of his win over Cyril Gane and his future is currently up for speculation with a new UFC contract yet to be agreed. This has led to the rumours of a fight against Fury this year, with a lucrative deal potentially in the works.
Fury has stated that he would only come out of retirement for a deal as worth as much as £500 million but there was new speculation about Ngannou that he could well return to the Octagon instead of meeting the Gypsy King. This has led to a bemused reaction from Fury on Twitter, with the 33-year-old calling out the Cameroonian star in reaction to the reports.

The WBC heavyweight champion tweeted: "Thought you wanted some smoke @francis_ngannou" He added. "Lets do a propper fight! Wembley Stadium 2022.".
Ngannou did not take long to respond as less than an hour later, hinting at a fight, but not this year: "Don't you dare think that I take my eyes out of you. You're still my priority !" He tweeted: "I'm coming for all the smoke. 2023."
He went on to make more comments, questioning Fury's claims, he wrote: "What do you mean when you say "PROPER" fight? because I'm a real fighter, and I can make it a la carte for you since you can't handle it all." To which Fury responded: "Bring it on big boy. You wouldn’t last a round me muscles @francis_ngannou"
When asked recently about his future, Ngannou told TMZ about his future opponent, saying: “You know, as for now let’s fight for the situation and get everything squared up.
"And then when I will be close to the return, we will see where the landscape is at because a lot of things can happen."
