Tyson Fury considers himself 'undisputed' without facing Anthony Joshua or Oleksandr Usyk

Tyson Fury claims he has retired from boxing as the undisputed heavyweight champion.

Fury said he is done with the sport after knocking out Dillian Whyte at Wembley last weekend to defend his WBC heavyweight title. 'The Gypsy King' has previously held the unified titles after beating Wladimir Kitchsko in 2015, but has never become undisputed at the weight class.

The logical fight to make next for Fury is against the winner of Oleksandr Usyk's rematch against Anthony Joshua in July, a fight that would see all the heavyweight belts on the line. But Fury isn't interested in this and already seems himself as the undisputed champion.

“I’ve already been the undisputed champion,” Fury told talkSPORT. “I’ve won every single belt there is to win. I’ve got nothing more to do, I am out, fully retired. Done. [Fighting Usyk] is never gonna happen because I’m retired, but let’s just say I’d punch him round the ring. because he’s a middleweight, blown up."

Fury's father John labelled his son's retirement claim as " bull**** " before his win over Whyte. Fury Sr thinks his son words should be taken with a pinch of salt and said after a few months he will get the urge to fight again.

A undisputed heavyweight title fight hasn't taken place for over two decades, with Lennox Lewis last holding that accolade when beat Evander Holyfield in their 1999 rematch. Fury insists he will enjoy doing day-to-day tasks such as taking the bins out and school runs now that he's retired.

“I am retired, so what I wanna do is chill out with my family and enjoy the rest of my life. Who knows what the future holds, but as of yet I’m just enjoying myself and I’m gonna grow my hair back I think," he continued.

“I’ve got school runs with the kids, I’ve got my bin trips to the tip, washing cars down, haircuts, shaves, hoovering, cleaning up. The normal day-to-day stuff at home with the kids, family and wife. Weekends, I look forward to my weekends, I train all week."

Fury's retirement has been questioned by his wife Paris and promoter Bob Arum. The WBC champion's training partner and good friend Joseph Parker has also urged him to continue boxing, telling Mirror Fighting : "I don't think he should retire, I think he should carry on because he is at the top of his game and no-one can beat him".
