Tyrone GAA star and Allstar winner Conor Meyler is to join 50 players from across Ireland travelling to Kenya as part of a charity campaign to plant one million trees in the African country.
Cookstown-based company and county GAA sponsors McAleer and Rushe are sponsoring the Omagh man to join others taking part in ‘Plant the Planet Games’, a partnership between Warriors for Humanity, Self Help Africa and the Gaelic Players Association (GPA).
The GAA stars will travel to Kenya in mid-November to work with communities, visit cultural and climate related projects and take part in an exhibition GAA match at Nairobi rugby club.
