Philadelphia 76ers guard Tyrese Maxey couldn’t contain the excitement on his face while looking at his team’s game statistics after topping the Brooklyn Nets on Saturday.
Philly’s 96-88 victory over Brooklyn gave the team a 4-0 playoff sweep and sent it to the Eastern Conference’s semifinals.
While he was sitting at the press table, Maxey perused over the game’s box score and just looked absolutely stunned at the numbers.
We’re not exactly sure which numbers caught his eye, but we wouldn’t be surprised if they involved the game veteran center Paul Reed had (10 points, 15 rebounds). Maxey had 16 points and eight boards himself.
It was as delightful a reaction as you can get to a playoff game’s box score.

No matter the reason for the absolutely hysterical shock in Maxey’s face, the 76ers have plenty to be happy about as they advance in the 2023 NBA playoffs.
The 76ers will play the winner of the Boston Celtics-Atlanta Hawks series, which Boston currently leads 2-1. Maybe more excitement will await Maxey as he looks over future Philly box scores.
