Tyreek Hill gave a Dolphins fan signed gear after a touchdown ball mix-up involving his mom

On October 8th, a fan tried to snag a touchdown ball intended for Tyreek Hill’s mom. Truthfully, it was loser behavior, but the Dolphins wide receiver recently caught up with the same fan to offer them some signed memorabilia as a classy peace offering.

After their not-so-good shenanigans during the Giants-Dolphins game in Week  5, a Dolphins fan was surprised while out eating, creating a moment they’ll likely be talking about for a while.

Imagine being out on the town when one of the greatest football players you’ve ever seen walks in. Not only did they find you, but they came bearing gifts.

In a video posted to Hill’s TikTok captioned, “This is why we play,” the Miami playmaker gives viewers background knowledge on the recent touchdown ball mixup before walking in to surprise the fan with a signed football.

“You gotta be [expletive] kidding me,” says the fan upon realizing who is standing before them.

Hill jokingly follows up with, “What am I doing here?”

The fan immediately went into praising the speedy receiver before being handed a signed football from Hill. Afterward, they explained they didn’t know Hill’s mom was in the stands that day, but had they known, they would have stepped aside.

Both Hill and the fan, now in a Dolphins jersey, can be seen later in the clip chopping it up and joking about the moment. Ultimately, the video ends with reflective thoughts from the fan.

“He gave me a ball…went out of his way to give me a football. This is totally awesome.”

Sometimes sports is pretty darn cool.
