Police are hunting an attacker after a horror triple assault in Dundee.
Officers have launched a probe after the nasty attack that happened in the Hawkhill at about 1.20am on Sunday morning.
They confirmed that two women were initially assaulted outside a take-away restaurant.
A man came to their aid and he was also attacked and knocked to the ground unconscious.
The 32-year-old was rushed to hospital.
The two female victims left the scene prior to police arriving and officers are appealing to them to contact them as a matter of urgency.
The male suspect is white, in his 30s, around 6ft 2inches in height, with short dark hair and a muscular build.
He was wearing a black, long-sleeved jacket with a white logo on the left side, black trousers with a white logo on the left thigh and wearing light coloured trainers.
Officers are in the process of reviewing relevant CCTV footage for additional information.
Constable Thomas Fitzpatrick said: “It’s imperative we obtain all the information regarding this incident and I am appealing directly to the two women, who were also assaulted, to get in touch with us.
“If anyone has any information or knowledge about this incident or the suspect then please contact us, in particular, anyone with a dash cam is asked to check their footage as they may have captured images which could assist our investigation.”
