Two-time Wimbledon champ announces retirement from tennis at 40

British doubles legend Jamie Murray has announced his retirement from professional tennis at the age of 40.
Murray became the first British doubles player to reach world No 1 and secured seven Grand Slam titles during his illustrious career.
His notable achievements include winning the 2015 Davis Cup with his brother Andy, and accumulating 34 doubles titles in total.
He claimed two men's doubles Grand Slams with Bruno Soares in 2016 and five mixed doubles titles, including two Wimbledon trophies.
Murray retires holding the record for the most Grand Slam and ATP Tour doubles titles of any British player in the Open Era, and recently took on the role of tournament director for the Queen’s Club Championships.
