Two teenage best friends have died in a horror crash on their way back from a day at the seaside.

Jennifer Woodhouse, 18, and Lara Meldrum, 19, had just started their "summer of fun" ahead of their first year at university before the devastating incident happened just before 7pm last Friday.

The pair had been making the most of the hottest day of the year when they were involved in the fatal smash, reports the Mirror.
