Two men have been taken to hospital after being found injured on a street in Fife.
Police were called to the scene in Queen’s Crescent, Markinch, at around 2pm on Saturday, February 26.
The duo were both rushed to the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy for treatment.
Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening and a probe remains ongoing to establish how they were hurt.
Local residents reported seeing pools of blood in the street before a large police cordon was thrown up.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “An investigation is under way after two men, aged 22 and 27 were found injured in Queen’s Crescent, Markinch on Saturday 26 February 2022, around 2pm
“Both men were taken to the Royal Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy for treatment.
“Enquiries are continuing.”
