Gardai have arrested two men with help from the Gardai Air Support Unit following a number of incidents of robbery and attempted robbery in Dublin and Wicklow this morning.
Gardai in the Dublin Metropolitan Region (DMR) and Wicklow Region received report of three robberies and one attempted robbery at various retail premises in Dublin and Wicklow between 7.30am and 9am this morning, Sunday 7 May 2023. It is understood that no injuries were reported during the incidents.
The two men, aged in their 20s and 30s, were apprehended in Co Wicklow with the support of the Garda Air Support Unit. One vehicle was also seized by investigating Gardai for a technical examination.

A garda spokesman said: "Gardaí in the Dublin Metropolitan Region (DMR) and Wicklow Region received report of three robberies and one attempted robbery at various retail premises in Dublin and Wicklow between 7.30am and 9am this morning, Sunday 7th May 2023.
"No injuries were reported in each of the incidents. Following enquires by Gardaí based in the DMR East and Wicklow Divisions, and with assistance from the Garda Air Support Unit, two men were arrested in County Wicklow.
"One vehicle was also seized by investigating Gardaí for a technical examination. The two men (aged in their 20s and 30s) are currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984 at a Garda station in Wicklow.
"Investigations are ongoing."
