Manchester City stars Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland have been nominated for October's Premier League player of the month award.
Both men have enjoyed standout months for Pep Guardiola's side as the Blues kept the pressure on Arsenal at the top of the league. De Bruyne began the month with two assists in the hammering of Manchester United before following that up with an assist at home to Southampton the week after.
Towards the end of the month, De Bruyne found his goalscoring boots bagging two in his last two Premier League fixtures. His first coming against Brighton and Hove Albion before scoring a stunning free-kick winner against Leicester City in the last game of the month.

Haaland meanwhile has continued to lead the way in the golden boot competition with his incredible hat-trick and two assists against United starting October on the right note. A fourth goal of the month followed against Southampton before the Norwegian drew a surprising blank against Liverpool.
The 22-year-old rediscovered his scoring touch with a brace against Brighton however he missed out on further goals last month with injury keeping him out of the trip to Leicester. City's duo will face competition for the award from Newcastle trio Miguel Almiron, Bruno Guimaraes and Kieran Trippier, Arsenal's Granit Xhaka, Chelsea's Kepa Arrizabalaga and Brighton's Leandro Trossard.
