Two investigations are underway into the death of a baby in Tameside General Hospital earlier this year.
Luca Yates tragically passed away at just one-day-old in the hospital on January 24 this year. Today, a pre-inquest review into his untimely death revealed that two investigations into the circumstances are underway.
Both of those fall alongside the coronial case, which is being presided over by Area Coroner Chris Morris. The two investigations are being undertaken by the NHS Trust which runs Tameside General Hospital and by the Healthcare Safety Investigation Branch (HSIB), an independent body.
