MUMBAI: Two men were arrested in separate cases of unnatural sex and rape in the western suburbs of Mumbai recently.
In the first incident, a 42-year-old woman from Andheri West lodged a complaint of unnatural sex against her husband. The couple had been having marital disputes and had also gone to court in the past. On Saturday, her husband returned home sloshed.
According to her complaint, he had unnatural sex, causing serious injuries to her. He also assaulted her. After her medical treatment and recovery, she approached the Amboli police station with a complaint. Police said the couple is well educated, has been married for 18 years and has a teenage son. Police arrested her husband.
In the second incident, a 36-year-old woman lodged a complaint of rape against her husband's friend. The woman said that her husband was not home when the accused visited and offered her a spiked soft drink. The woman had the drink and passed out. When she came to her senses, she realised she had been raped.
Around eight days after the incident, she approached the police with a complaint. Police then arrested the accused.
