Two Doors Down fans divided over new series after star's exit

Two Doors Down Cathy Christine Elaine C Smith Elaine C Smith Bible John BBC Two

Fans of Two Doors Down have been left divided over the new series of the hit Scots sitcom as some blast it 'absolutely terrible'.

Beth and Eric, played by Arabella Weir and Alex Norton, and Christine, who is played by Elaine C. Smith, returned to BBC Two on Wednesday night. The first episode of series six saw Colin, played by Jonathan Watson, in a vulnerable state after being unceremoniously dumped.

Doon Mackichan, who played Cathy, announced earlier this year that she was leaving the show to focus on other things.
