The incident took place around 3 a.m. on Sunday near the intersection of 7th Street and P Street Northwest, as per the Metropolitan Police Department.
The victims were targeted by one or more suspects who opened fire, with the motive behind the attack remaining unknown at this time. The deceased victims have been identified as a 32-year-old Washington, D.C., resident named Anthony Brown and 32-year-old Jay Lucks from Baltimore.
