Two children have died and a woman has been airlifted to a Dublin hospital following a car fire in Westmeath.
The fire happened in the Multyfarnham area and emergency services rushed to the scene at around 4pm this evening. The woman was taken from the scene by air ambulance to a Dublin Hospital for treatment to serious injuries.
An infant boy was rushed by ambulance to Midland Regional Hospital, Mullingar. He has since been pronounced dead.

The remains of a young girl were also found at the scene. A garda spokesman said: "This is a live incident and no further information is available at this time. Enquires are ongoing and updates will follow."
