A Texas firefighter is currently on administrative leave pending an internal investigation by the Irving Fire Department. All of this ties back to 44-year-old Kevin Brown’s arrest after an alarming incident at a community pool. He was taken into custody after reports and a corroborating viral video of him brandishing an AR-style weapon during a heated dispute at a children’s birthday party.
According to Atlanta Black Star, the incident occurred in a community pool in the Dallas suburb of Melissa. Police say the confrontation began after Brown’s wife took issue with children at the party who were propping open the pool gate. The situation quickly escalated into a shouting match involving several adults, which prompted Brown’s wife to call him. Following that call, Brown arrived at the scene armed with an AR-platform weapon, leaving the children terrified.
