Two people have been charged with murder after a man critically injured in an alleged assault in rural Queensland died in hospital.
Police said the two had been charged with attempted murder over the alleged serious assault of a 23-year-old Eagle Farm man at Mount Mee, in the D'Aguilar Range northwest of Brisbane.
Police said emergency services were called to a Mclean Road property about 8.30pm on Wednesday following reports of an assault.
A man was located with critical head injuries and initially transported to Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital in a critical condition but has since passed away.
A 21-year-old local woman and a 23-year-old local man were taken into custody at the address and a crime scene was declared.
The woman was charged with 10 offences including attempt to murder, common assault, deprivation of liberty, disabling in order to commit indictable offence, grievous bodily harm, observations or recordings in breach of privacy, serious assault of police officer, torture, wounding and unlawful possession of weapons category A/B/M.

Police said on Sunday the man and woman, both from Mount Mee, have had their attempted murder charges upgraded to murder following the man's death.
The 21-year-old woman remains remanded in custody and is due to reappear in Caboolture Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
The 23-year-old man remains remanded in custody and is due to reappear in Caboolture Magistrates Court on July 4.
