Police have made two arrests after discovering a large haul of knives at a suspected brothel in south east London.
Officers discovered a large collection of knives, multiple mobile phones and counterfeit money after raiding a property in Plumstead on Monday.
Police said that poor living conditions and other evidence discovered in the property showed it was “clearly being used as a brothel”.
One male was arrested for Keeping a Brothel for Prostitution, police said, while another male was arrested for Possession of Counterfeit Notes.
The women at the property have been safeguarded by officers and partnership agencies.
All occupants were removed from the property and a Closure Notice has been served on the address, police said.
