Two people have been arrested after a man was found with "serious injuries" in Edinburgh in the early hours of Sunday morning.
A 40-year-old was rushed to hospital following the incident in Greenhill Court in the Morningside area of the capital.
Police are still carrying out inquiries at the scene of the alleged incident, Edinburgh Live reports.
The man was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh where he is now reportedly in a stable condition.
A man, 32, and woman, 31, have been arrested in connection with the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 4.25 am on Sunday, 1 May, 2022, police were called after a 40-year-old man was found seriously injured in Greenhill Court, Edinburgh.
"He was taken by ambulance to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh where medical staff describe his condition as stable.
"Two people, a man, aged 32 years, and a 31-year-old woman, have been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are continuing."
