Two arrested after 'beautiful' mum dies in hit and run

Two people have been arrested after a woman was killed in a hit and run crash.

Katherine West was hit by a black Peugeot 3008 as she crossed the road in Hindley, Wigan, on November 5 last year. The vehicle failed to stop following the crash on Ladies Lane at around 9.40pm.

The 59-year-old died of her injuries six weeks later. Greater Manchester police this morning (August 31) arrested a 31-year-old man and 26-year-old woman over her death. A 32-year-old man was arrested after her death and released under investigation, police said at the time.
