The Tennessee Titans finally landed the young tight end they needed after selecting Maryland’s Chigoziem Okonkwo in the fourth round of the 2022 NFL draft.
Okonkwo will factor in as a backup in 2022 with Austin Hooper set to start, but he could challenge Geoff Swaim for snaps at TE2, although that will depend upon how quickly the Maryland product improves as a blocker.
Granted, Okonkwo has all the tools to be an impactful blocker at the next level, but he’s still very raw in that regard.
