The Atlanta Falcons defeated the Arizona Cardinals in Week 17, but not all fans were happy following Sunday’s 20-19 win.
While the team snapped a four-game losing streak and rookie Tyler Allgeier had another stellar game, the victory hurt Atlanta’s draft position. Although, some fans were just happy to see rookie quarterback Desmond Ridder earn his first career win.
Here’s how Twitter reacted to the Falcons’ win over the Cardinals.
So falcons fans. How are we feeling about Desmond 3 starts in now? I feel like he looked the most comfortable he has been today.

The Falcons went 1-6 over their last 7 games, eliminated themselves from playoff contention, and then decided to start winning close games🤦🏾♂️ I swear we can’t do anything right

#Falcons really should’ve had 10 wins at this point…Couldn’t make things happen for most of the 4th quarters we were in, this season smh.

#DirtyBirds fans are insufferable.
“Guys we won a meaningless game!”
“ Ridder didn’t show me enough to start next year so let’s get a different Rookie or a Vet to do this.”
“I don’t understand! why did we win this game? Don’t we want CJ or Carter??”
God bless y’all… pic.twitter.com/YMDeVJjixC

@AtlantaFalcons winning at the buzzer 😅

Tell Ridder who just won his first game it was meaningless. Tell Tyler Allgeier, who was running through walks tonight it was meaningless. Tell Oliver who may have gotten another year in ATL after today it was meaningless. They all wanted the win.

The holding penalty on Falcons RG Chris Lindstrom was incredibly rare.
How rare?
It's the first holding penalty of Lindstrom's career.
The Pro Bowler is in his fourth NFL season.

Keep in mind, Desmond Ridder didn't see any QB1 snaps in practice until 3 weeks ago. Not in training camp. Not in preseason. 3 weeks ago. I wonder how he'd look with a full buy in from the coaching staff.

You can’t convince me Ridder couldn’t have been doing this since week 5/6

I’ve moved on to draft positioning as far as the #Falcons are concerned. But that was a horrible pass interference call that went against them

So is this not Pass interference on Drake London or I’m Trippen? #Falcons #Dirtybirds pic.twitter.com/c86yWZOq3n

The Falcons announced that 69,269 tickets were distributed for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.
My eyes can confirm that many of those people decided to do something else with their Sunday.
