The Ohio State Buckeyes earned a strong, dominant win over the Wisconsin Badgers on Saturday, 52-21, to open Big Ten play. They did so without their No. 1 receiver, Jaxon Smith-Njigba.
Next week, Ohio State takes on the Rutgers Scarlet Knights, and they may have to earn the win without Smith-Njigba again, and, perhaps, without even Brutus the Buckeye.
Numerous players were bumped and bruised, but the injury that made the most headlines Saturday night was to the beloved mascot, Brutus. During a contest between a few contestants, Brutus was flat-out leveled, and the ramifications were brutal. Check out the highlight below and the social media reaction to it all.

Big Ten football baby!
You know it's a Wisconsin game when even Brutus has to leave the game with an injury.
