The Denver Broncos lost to the Las Vegas Raiders 27-14 on Sunday afternoon, securing their seventh straight losing season. Here’s a sampling of how fans and pundits reacted to the loss (and 2023 season) on Twitter/X.
Once again, here’s what @jerryjeudy can do and could do coming into the league. The big play ability has always been present no matter what critics have tried to tell you #BroncosCountry #DENvsLV pic.twitter.com/vDds7UddVp

I went from calling for Vance Joseph to be fired from the Broncos (again), to considering naming my unborn son after him during the turnaround, to basically being back to where I started.
It has been a rollercoaster of a season.— Sarah Garner (@sarahlgarner) January 8, 2024
Vance Joseph's job shouldn't be safe. The defense played great and came up with timely turnovers during the win streak, but the defense hasn't been wonderful during the final 5-6 weeks, outside of two games vs. Easton Stick.
If a better option is available, flex that Walmart $$

Seventh straight losing season and eighth straight loss to the Raiders
Will the suffering ever end?! pic.twitter.com/jAbNMTxFXX

Trying that throw to Jeudy while doing a leaping fadeaway is INSANEEEEEEEE
Unsurprisingly wound up throwing a beach ball up there
Goodness Stidham
12th pick it is for the Broncos
— Zach Segars (@Zach_Segars) January 8, 2024
Welp. I now have 7 seasons of talking Broncos underneath my belt…
…and I’m still waiting for the first winning season. Is it me?!
— Zach Bye (@byesline) January 8, 2024
Not hating, stating facts…
2021, Payton's only season w/out Drew Brees.. Saints averaged 304 yards per game and finished with a 9-8 record.
This season, #Broncos averaged 298 yards per game and finished 8-9.
Interpret this how you will……
— Eric Goodman (@EricGoodman) January 8, 2024
#Broncos need more dynamic players offensively. They need a TE in the passing game, whether Krull, Dulcich or someone else. And they need better in the third quarter where their dreams too often went to die this season. #Denver7

I believe he can fix it. I really do. Just don't tell us you switched QB's hoping to get a spark. If the last two games have been a "spark", we're not watching the same game. Just say we are moving on from Russ and we want to see what we have in Stidham. See how easy that is? https://t.co/cdu0iCWsct
— Vic Lombardi (@VicLombardi) January 7, 2024
Jarrett Stidham was sacked five times today and was hit 11 times.
Doesn't matter which QB is under center for Denver, that is a big issue.
— Cody Roark (@CodyRoarkNFL) January 8, 2024
Hey, the Broncos may be awful, but at least their head coach is a miserable prick.

That’s a wrap on the Broncos season. What a rollercoaster of season it has been. #BroncosCountry, what are your thoughts heading into the offseason?
— Romi Bean (@Romi_Bean) January 8, 2024
I’m glad George Paton is staying. I like him. Took a big swing on Russ, but I’m glad he at least tried to do something. Hope he rectifies his mistake with the help of Sean Payton.

1-5 start, 5 game winning streak, 1-4 finish…like a really good sandwich surrounded by hard, stale bread #Broncoscountry
— MileHighBroncos (@milehighbroncos) January 8, 2024
Fun season. Now time to debate the #12 pick nonstop for the next few months 🤓
— Trevor Judge (@TrevorJudge) January 8, 2024
Well, everybody. Fun season. On to the next.
— Joey Richards (@JRDrafts) January 8, 2024
Broncos had a year with uncanny injury luck while the Chiefs were down and came away 8-9 and 3rd in the AFC West.
George Paton failed as a team builder. Period.
— Joe Rowles (@JoRo_NFL) January 8, 2024
The ending sucked but for a good chunk of the season they were firmly in the playoff race after starting 1-5. It’s been a fun season and I’m thankful I get to do this. I appreciate everyone who interacts with me and my stuff and thank you for making this fun for me. 🤘🏽

Ball game.
Broncos finish the season 8-9.
7th straight season with a losing record. 8 without the playoffs.
And once again, questions at quarterback.
— Romi Bean (@Romi_Bean) January 8, 2024
The Broncos jumped the Raiders in the draft.
That might be important. That might not, but that's all I have right now lol
— ThatsGoodSports (@BrandonPerna) January 8, 2024
What a rollercoaster of a season for the Broncos:
— Started 1-5
— Won 5-straight
— Then went 2-4 to finish the season
All for an 8-9 season.
— Zac Stevens (@ZacStevensDNVR) January 8, 2024
The Broncos suffer a 27-14 loss and end their season at 8-9 in Year 1 under Sean Payton. It is the eighth straight loss to the Raiders and extends Denver’s streak of consecutive losing seasons to seven.
— Nick Kosmider (@NickKosmider) January 8, 2024
Broncos finish 8-9 after loss to Raiders, 286 yards of offense, Jarrett Stidham sacked five times and 48 yards yards rushing … consider spark on offense still elusive and Broncos officially back on QB merry go round again …
— Jeff Legwold (@Jeff_Legwold) January 8, 2024
And that’s it.
A seventh-straight losing season for the Broncos ends with a 27-14 loss to the Raiders. Denver finishes 8-9 and will pick 12th in the first round of the NFL Draft.
The Broncos have more losing seasons in the last seven years than they did in the previous 41.

Up next for Denver is a busy offseason that will include plenty of tough decisions, including the quarterback position. Buckle up, Broncos Country. The next few months will be interesting.
