The Tennessee Titans kicked off their round of cuts on Tuesday following the releases of left tackle Taylor Lewan, wide receiver Robert Woods, and kicker Randy Bullock
These moves were universally expected by most people, but the news still caused quite a stir on Twitter.
Tennessee entered the day over the salary cap by more than $22 million. However, following these latest transactions, the Titans will save about $28.9 million and are now $4.2 million under the salary cap.
The release of Lewan saved the Titans $14.8 million and leaves behind no dead-cap hit because he had no guaranteed money left on the original deal that he signed back in 2018.
Regardless of how the last few years have gone for the Michigan product, Titans fans made sure to shower him with the type of appreciation he truly deserves for the nine years he gave to the franchise.
Let’s take a closer look at what Titans Twitter had to say about today’s news.
Thank goodness Bobby Bush is gone.
