The New England Patriots had a busy start to Day 3 of the 2023 NFL draft, selecting center Jake Andrews, kicker Chad Ryland and interior offensive lineman Sidy Sow with their first three picks in the fourth round.
There were mixed opinions on the heavy focus on the interior offensive line, rather than selecting a tackle or receiver.
But things started to take a turn in the sixth round with the Patriots selecting Kayshon Boutte and Demario Douglas. That’s when the excitement level started to jump again.
The Patriots addressed defense on the first couple of days and then turned to the offensive line, special teams and receivers on Day 3. Here’s what people were saying on Twitter after the final day of the NFL draft.

Jake Andrews was a #Patriots offensive lineman the day his parents gave him that name lol

Jake Andrews was one of the best centers in college football last season. #patriots

If the Patriots find a way to beat the Jets this year with this new kicker Chad Ryland kicking a walkoff field goal, it might be the most Bill Belicheck moment of his entire career. #patriots #NFLDraft #nfl #draft #pats #kicker

Hate the pick but don’t switch up when Chad Ryland is winning us games
— matt (@icyphoenix36) April 29, 2023
Cant wait for Chad Ryland to hit a game winning kick against the Jets

Sidy Sow prolly my favorite pick so far
— Matt Spalding (@MattJBasketball) April 29, 2023
The #Patriots finally take a value guy. Sidy Sow was Jeremiah’s 104th ranked player. 9.94 RAS. Future starter in this league. Great pick.

Patriots picking Marte Mapu and Sidy Sow is a masterclass in drafting for names.

Boy, this is another frustrating experience!! I must step back from watching the NEP draft process in the future and just wait for actual games. Let the Patriots scouts/brass do their job, I will remain a dedicated fan!

Pick #187, WR Kayshon Boutte – The potential is tremendous, but he could also easily not turn out well. Boutte was a projected first rounder before his constant injury battles and off the field issues. I personally love this pick since it’s a low risk, high reward pick. pic.twitter.com/gVJJ3vHt1Q

I think he’s going to surprise a lot of people in camp.

I absolutely love the #Patriots double-dipping at wide receiver with Kayshon Boutte and Demario Douglas. Obviously, these are day-three fliers. But two guys I really liked on film who have skill set that fit.
