A Twitch streamer has revealed she can make up to $15,000 (£11,600) by live streaming herself sleeping. American Internet celebrity, gamer, and OnlyFans model Amouranth disclosed her huge profit while discussing her career on The Iced Coffee Hour podcast with hosts Graham Stephan and Jack Selby.
Otherwise known as Kaitlyn Siragusa, the 29-year-old says she can make between $10,000 and $15,000 from her sleep streams. While she does make plenty of money with her live streams on the platform, she admits that the majority of it comes from her OnlyFans page.
The female content creator is among the biggest on Twitch, with a whopping 6.4 million followers. Although she is mostly known for her gaming streams, she has also found success with ASMR content and her hot tub streams.
She has previously been in the headlines for her various business ventures - including selling her own bath water, and "fart jars" for $1,000 (£787). She joined Twitch back in 2016 and has since been banned on several occasions - but has gone on to be reinstated every time.
Explaining how she first got into 'sleep streaming', she said: "When I first started streaming, I was doing maybe three to five hours at a time - just trying it out, playing games, cosplaying and making costumes. And then I rose it to eight hours, 10 hours, 12 hours, sometimes I would do 14 or 18 hours, sometimes I'd be on even longer if I did a sleep stream.
When asked what exactly a 'sleep stream' is, she replied: "You keep the camera on while you're sleeping. It's like a virtual slumber party." She also says she gets a good night sleep whenever she's sleep streaming.
"I have this incredible talent to fall asleep anywhere, regardless of how much light, how much noise, whatever's happening." She admitted. "So I can get a pretty good night's sleep. I actually used to get more sleep doing that than not."
On how much she would make when she would stream herself sleeping, the model guessed around the $15,000 mark. "I've never broken it down like that, because it would just be one continuous 24 hours, 48 hour stream.
"But I would say probably - if you count just on Twitch - a couple thousand dollars. But if you count the conversions potentially to OnlyFans, while I'm sleeping because they click on links and whatever, then maybe like $10,000 to $15,000."

She added how so far she's never woken up and forgotten she was sleeping, and says she doesn't do it very often. "I feel like if you do it too much, it'd become no longer novelty," she said.
