Recall alert: 43,674 light-up children’s toys sold for $1 from 2016 to 2026 are being recalled due to ingestion and chemical burn risk

Children’s toys are designed to attract attention with bright colours, sounds and lights, but some of those features can also introduce safety risks. On September 24, 2026, the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced the recall of approximately 43,674 light-up children’s toys because their battery compartments do not meet mandatory safety requirements.
