Twins launch 'nasty attack' on mum in Nottingham city centre then one steals her £800 bag

A mum of a 3-year-old thought she was going to die after being a victim of a "nasty attack" in the city centre. Twins Bryony and Alice Josie Richardson appeared at Nottingham Magistrates' Court on Monday (July 11) in relation to the attack on Megan Ward. Both pleased not guilty.

Ms Ward said she has been prescribed anti-depressants and counselling, realising "how close my son was to not having a mother" after the incident that took place outside The Cornerhouse on Forman Street, in the city centre. She gave evidence to the court via a link from a witness room in the Magistrates' Court.

The mum said she sustained injuries to her face and bruises to her body after the incident on September 19 last year. She has also described how was left "out of pocket" after her £800 designer bag was stolen during the incident.
