Twin Peaks singer Julee Cruise has died at the age of 65 after battling ill health, according to reports.
The singer - best known for penning the theme tune of the hit TV show - passed away on June 9 according to an emotional Facebook post from her husband.
Edward Grinnan paid tribute by writing: "She left this realm on her own terms. No regrets. She is at peace.
"I played her [B-52’s song] Roam during her transition. Now she will roam forever. Rest in peace, my love."
The American singer was a frequent collaborator of Twin Peaks creator David Lynch, after her song Falling provided the soundtrack for the hit 80s TV show.
Born in Iowa in 1965, Julee would go on to become an accomplished singer, songwriter, actress and musician - releasing four studio albums throughout her career.
Prior to her death, the late singer had been living with auto-immune disease Lupus.
Speaking with Pitchfork in 2017, Julee told the publication the condition left her with the “bones of an 85-year-old woman at 33”
In the wake of her death, many fans paid tribute to the late star online.
"Julee Cruise has passed away. We lose a wonderful artist, a great woman," one Twitter tribute began.
"The voice of Twin Peaks melodies. Forever in our memory. Forever in our hearts. Rest in peace, lovely Julee."
Another tribute paid homage to the time Julee appeared on Saturday Night Live in 1990.

Julee performed her iconic track Falling for her stint on the live show in New York City.
One mourning fan took to Twitter to pen: "David Lynch gave us the greatest and most haunting episode in the history of American broadcast TV, and Julee Cruise was the most transcendent, powerful element of all. A beautiful dream that shifts into a nightmare before our eyes and ears."
Director David and film star Isabella Rossellini wrote a number on the song's that appeared on Julee's first ever studio album, Floating in the Night.
Julee's most famous project with David - who she worked with frequently throughout the years - was when she penned the haunting theme tune for his series Twin Peaks, which went on to earn her a Grammy for Best Pop Instrumental.
The late star also made a number of appearances on the hit TV show, cameoing as a singer at a local bar and featuring heavily during show's landmark pilot episode and the episode where Laura Palmer's murderer is revealed.
